about the festival
The Singapore Improv Festival is run entirely by volunteers and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 2024.
SIF began in 2016, running every two years since its inception (except for a cancellation due to the pandemic in 2020). It has grown to be one of Asia’s biggest international improv festivals, welcoming hundreds of performers over the years and opening doors to thousands of audience members.
artistic mission
This year, our artistic mission and festival north star is to foster and broaden our sense of community.
And in response to “Together Gather” - our purpose for gathering at this festival is to use our love for improvisation in performance to build community across theatrical styles/disciplines.
