About the Teacher - OSHOW (Japan)

OSHOW pursues his unique artistic works through Impro, Clown, and Mask.

His theatrical journey began in high school, and from there his passion for the arts developed as he explored English plays, musicals, and impro. In 2010, he founded Japan's first student impro troupe "Gekidan Shimusubi". In 2015, he participated in the International Improv Festival "MITICO" in Milan, and became a Japanese member of "International Theatresports Institute (iTi)". Since then, he has participated in various impro companies and festivals around the world to explore his work.

At the same time, he has also delved into the world of clowning and masks, deepening his career and applying it to his works.

In 2023, he joined Loose Moose Theater, a theatre founded by Keith Johnstone and he studied under world-class improviser Shawn Kinley. Based on this experience, he founded "ImprOtaku" in Tokyo to take over Keith Johnstone's impro, and still performs regular shows.

His goal on stage is to connect with the audience through the exchange of souls. While pursuing the brilliance of the moment, he is constantly taking on new challenges. The slogan of his work is "To create time, space, and story that bring the audience together."
